adjourn the 112th congress without providing assistance to the victims of superstorm sandy. i am joined today, mr. speaker, by many of my colleagues from the jurisdictions that -- whose people received the most damaging blow. though my district did not sustain the extreme damage that those in new york, new jersey, and connecticut did, the president declared several maryland counties eligible for federal assistance from this storm. but it was minor, and my citizens are not in dire circumstances. but the citizens of some who we'll hear from today are in that condition. those counties joined hundreds in the 1,000-mile diameter of this storm, the largest geographicically in the history --geographically in the history of the atlantic hurricanes. now at best the speaker said that sandy's victims will need to wait until the next congress to receive assistance. wait. they say to millions who are in pain and in distress. we should not be waiting, mr. speaker. we should be voting this very morning, which i tell you, mr. speaker, i expected to happen from my discussions with the majority leader. a

the uncle of 6-year-old noah pozner who was among the 20 children killed at sandy hook elementary told anderson there were fake websites, facebook pages and e maims going around asking for donations in noah's name. drew griffin and david fitzpatrick tracked one of those e-mails to a woman in the bronx and went to her house. her name is noah alba. here is what happened next. >> hi. are you ms. alba? you set up donations on behalf of one of the victims of the newtown tragedy. no? here is your name and address on the e-mail. can i come in with a camera crew? no. >> she eventually agreed to let her voice be recorded and denied she had anything to do with the e-mail asking for donations. here's more of what she told producer david fitzpatrick. >> this says -- this has your e-mail on it right there. this is about noah pozner's funeral. >> i've never seen this. >> take a look. it's got your e-mail all over it. second page. your paypal account. a bank routing number you say you're set up. >> that's not my paypal account. i mean, i have a paypal account like that. >> is that your e-mail? it say

of the sandy hook school shooting in connecticut. preparing to return to classes for the first time since the tragedy. classes resume tomorrow. but today, families will get a first look at the new location. the previous chalk hill middle school in nearby monroe, just a few miles from newtown. a meticulously renovated school the students will now attend. and abc's amy robach is in monroe this morning, to show us. good morning to you, amy. >> reporter: josh, good morning to you. we're just down the street from chalk hill school. and we understand some families here, in an effort to show support to the students from sandy hook who will be returning to school, they have lined the streets, the bus route, with green ribbons, to make them feel the support of this community, as they head back into the halls of a classroom. we know there's a new sign up on chalk hill middle school that reads sandy hook elementary school. as students go to class tomorrow, many of them will see a familiar face. their former principal, who retired back in 2010, will be greeting them at the door. school officials and
